Banana Chips

Who doesn’t like something crunchy? Annie the Porcupine’s favorite crunchy snack is Banana Chips. Here is a simple recipe for homemade banana chips:

Ingredients:

Ripe bananas

Lemon juice (optional, to prevent browning)

Cinnamon and Sugar

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Peel the bananas and slice them into thin rounds, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. If you're concerned about the bananas browning, you can brush them with lemon juice.

Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they're not touching or overlapping.

Sprinkle the banana slices with cinnamon and sugar mixture. I buy it combined together.

Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours. – Times will vary depending on the thickness of the slices, your oven's temperature accuracy, and your personal preference for crispiness. It's essential to keep an eye on them towards the end of the baking time to prevent burning, as oven temperatures can vary. Once they are crispy and golden brown, they're ready to be taken out of the oven and cooled. Enjoy your delicious homemade banana chips!
