This weekend, I attended a book festival, which is always a delight for me as I get to catch up with old friends and discover new authors. At this festival, I had the pleasure of meeting a new author named Deanna Turner, who wrote the book Where Grandma Keeps the Good Stuff.
While many participants at festivals typically distribute stickers, postcards, or candy, Deanna took a unique approach by handing out recipe cards featuring her grandmother's recipe for Meatballs. Intrigued by this thoughtful gesture, I asked for the recipe, and with her kind permission, I'm excited to share it with all of you.

2 LBS Ground Round
1 C Cornflakes Crumbled
1/3 C Parsley Flakes
2 Eggs
2 T Soy Sauce
1/4 t pepper
1/2 garlic powder
1/s C catsup
2 T minced onionsÂ
Sauce Ingredients:
1 C Cranberry Sauce
12 oz chili sauce
2 T lemon juice
2T brown sugar
Directions:
1. Mix meatballs and make into the size of walnuts
2. Mix sauce and cook in sauce pan until smooth.
3. Pour over meatballs in baking dish and cook uncovered @ 350 for 30 mins.Â
At the bottom of the recipe card, she wrote "Always focus on the good stuff!" A great recipe and a great thought for the day.Â
